With winter behind us and the thawing warmth of spring to look forward to, Marylanders are ready to emerge from their hibernation and start looking for things to do. If you’re ready to stretch your legs and get away from the home that you’ve been stuck in for months, there are plenty of options. You could drive down to Ocean City…but who wants to drive? You could fly to Florida…but plane tickets are so expensive this time of year. Oh! We know! How about taking a charter bus to New York City?!
Spring is Big Apple Season
The City That Never Sleeps has so much to offer in the way of entertainment, it can be overwhelming. We’ll list out a couple of awesome-sounding things that we found, but remember that there’s so much more to do than we could possibly capture in just one blog post. Alright, here we go!
– First of all, let’s tackle the obvious. There’s shopping in Times Square and there are dozens of musicals playing both on and off Broadway. Those should go without saying, but we said ‘em anyway.
– Probably the most spring-y thing to do is to visit one of the best known parks in the world — Central Park — to enjoy some fresh air and people watching. Sure, there’s plenty of excitement in the hustle and bustle of Times Square, but there’s something to be said for the magnificence of Central Park.
– To baseball fans around the country, springtime is a glorious time, because that means baseball season is back. The MLB season kicks off on April 3rd, and the hometown Mets and Yankees will be headed back to Queens and the Bronx, respectively. Stop by Citi Field or the new Yankee Stadium (again, respectively) and enjoy the great ballpark atmosphere, a great game, and a hot dog.
– New Yorkers deal with arguably worse winters than we do down here, so they’re all eager to get out and celebrate spring too. That means there will be events and festivals popping up all over town. It’s just a matter of knowing where to look.
We doubt that you’ll have trouble finding something to do in NYC. It’s just a matter of getting there. That’s where we come in.
