This is a bus trip opportunity you won’t want to miss out on.

Maryland State Fair History

The Maryland State Fair began in 1878 when a group of Maryland businessmen opened a successful fair on the four-acre site in Lutherville, Maryland. Despite their success, the fair was short lived due railway construction that cut through the fairgrounds. However, in 1979 they found a new home at a 37-acre plot of land on the York Turnpike. The Maryland State Fair grew and prospered, adding many exciting attractions and exhibits. Over the course of its colorful history, the state fair has grown to over 100 acres, and Fair organizers are committed to continually improving and expanding the event to this day.

Featuring Pop Artist Charlie Puth

Pop artist Charlie Puth will headline the Maryland State Fair Concert on Saturday, September 3rd. Known for his hit singles “See You Again” and “One Call Away”, Puth is sure to be an exciting hit you won’t want to miss. The concert is held on the fairground’s infield, and general admission tickets are on sale for $40. The concern is standing room-only and does not feature assigned seating, so make sure that you arrive in a timely manner. Maryland State Fair General Manager Andy Cashman said, “It’s the kind of concert where everyone will want to stand and dance to the music.”
